Hi, I’m Dave Gattis, and I want to give back to our beautiful community by volunteering to serve as a proactive member of the Belleair Beach City Council.

Wendy and I moved to Belleair Beach with our teenage son in October of 2017. Since then we’ve made many new friends and have learned so much about our new city. I have attended the majority of the City Council meetings, as well as meetings for the City Code Review Advisory Committee, and the Bellevue Estates Island Ad Hoc Committee for Undergrounding. My research and input helped shape portions of the city’s newly revised Municipal Code. I am currently working closely with others in the community on undergrounding and street lighting projects. I believe in being an active member of our community and am happy to serve wherever needed.

Belleair Beach has many projects in the works and needs a strong City Council to ensure our citizens’ vision of the city comes to fruition. In my job as Vice President of Products and Technology for DITEK Corporation, I am a strategic planner, researcher, problem solver, project manager and mediator. I have over 25 years of management, IT, and security industry experience. I love a challenge, and as a council member, I will use my technical and analytical skills to work with others to bring current and future city projects to a successful and timely completion.

Once elected to City Council, I will work hard to bridge the gap between local government and our community. I’d like to give the citizens a platform where thoughts and ideas are shared freely in advance of the Council meetings, effectively steering the Council’s agenda. I also plan to utilize the city’s existing technology by offering more information, with greater efficiency,
while reducing overall paper consumption.

The best way for our City Council to have the greatest impact is to listen to all members of our community. I will listen to you, and with your vote, I will be your voice.
